The effect of depression
Coming with the great depression was not just depression, but pretty much economic failure. 11,000 banks had failed and millions of people were left jobless. To add on to that inflation dropped the value of currency. The government scrambled to come up with ideas to help revive the economy addressing problems such as agricultural relief, Prohibition, unemployment, and old age insurance.
